Our Policies
The below terms and conditions are in place to ensure the safety and comfort , and well-being of every dog in our care, as well as to clearly outline the expectations and responsibilities between Pezzy Paws & our clients.
By booking an appointment with Pezzy Paws, you agree to the following terms:
Appointment & Cancellations
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule or adjust the service.
A deposit for each appointment will be taken when booking , if you need to cancel or rearrange appointment ,48 hours notice should be given and full refund will be given. After 48 hours deposit will not be refundable. If booking is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the full payment for booking will be charged.
It is very important that your dog is collect on time as this is a one to one grooming service , other dogs in the salon can cause distress. If you are more than 15 mins late you will be charged a late fee of £5 per 15 minutes you are late to collect your dog.
Dogs Welfare first
At Pezzy Paws, your dogs welfare is our number one priority. We will never continue a service that causes undue stress, anxiety or discomfort.
We reserve the right to stop a grooming session if your dog becomes overly distressed or aggressive. Partial fees may apply to cover time and handling.
Aggression & Behaviour
It is the client responsibility to disclose any history of aggression , reactivity or anxiety issues in advance so we can adapt our handling and grooming techniques to make your dogs experience as comfortable as possible and try and reduce.
We are happy to work with any dog and try to make the process work but we need our clients to be transparent to help us.
If your dog poses a risk to themselves or us, we may decline or stop the service .
A handling fee may apply for dogs requiring additional time, patience or safety measures.
Health & Medical Conditions
The Client MUST inform us of any health conditions, allergies, infections or recent surgeries.
Dogs with contagious conditions (e.g. kennel cough, parasites, skin infections) will be refused entry until fully recovered
Pezzy Paws is not liable for any pre-existing conditions that may become aggravated during grooming. We will do our best to minimise if conditions are informed.
In some cases we may ask for your vets confirmation to confirm your dog is safe to groom.
Treats
We may give your dog treats throughout the grooming process to help them feel at ease. If your dog is on a special diet , has any allergies or you are not happy for them to have treats please inform us when you drop off.
Vaccinations & flea control
All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and flea treatments.
If fleas are found during grooming, a flea treatment fee and sanitation fee will apply and you may need to rebook your dog in for hygiene reasons. We may not be able to complete the groom depending on the infestation and time between appointments as we have to deep clean/sanitise the salon before other dogs come in to avoid spread.
Matting policy
Severely matted coats can cause skin irritation, bruising or injury. In such cases, we will clip the coat short for your dogs comfort. We will call you to inform you and ask you to sign a dematting form before we proceed to do this.
We do not de-mat matted coats if it causes pain or distress. A Matting fee may apply due to extra time and wear on equipment. We are not responsible for minor nicks, cuts, or irritation resulting from any de -matting.
We understand that your dog may become matted and you might not be aware. We are here to help with any advice on how to avoid matting on your dog and we have tools and brushes we can recommend that can help with maintaining your dog’s coat. Please always follow our recommendations in order to avoid future matting. If you do not follow the recommendation of our grooming stylists and your dog is brought to us with continual severe matting, you may be charged a higher grooming fee.
Please note this is for the welfare of the dog. Under the Animal Welfare Act, 2006 we are required by the act to clip short humanly to remove matting and reduce distress.
De-shed mud treatment
This is an add on service designed to reduce shedding. Results vary based on breed, coat condition and frequency of grooming.
Dogs with sensitive skin or matting may be declined for this treatment.
Anal Glands
We offer gland expression as an optional add on service and it is only performed externally. This service is not suitable for all dogs and is not a substitute for veterinary care. Some dogs may require internal expression, which must be carried out by a licensed veterinarian. While we take every care to perform this service safely and hygienically, Pezzy Paws cannot be held liable for any irritation, infection or complications that may arise as a result of anal gland problems, discomfort, or sensitivity, we recommend consulting your veterinarian prior to booking this service.
By selecting this add-on, you acknowledge and accept the associated risks and agree that Pezzy Paws is not responsible for any veterinary costs or follow-up care that may be required.
Ear Plucking
Ear plucking comes as part of all of our grooming services , this involves removal of excess hair from the ear canal. By plucking the hair from the ears it helps maintain the cleanliness and health of the ears. Ear plucking may cause an ear infection but this is most likely that it has bought out and existing infection. It also may cause some temporary sensitivity. While we take great care to perform the service safely and hygienically, Pezzy Paws cannot be held liable for any irritation or infection that may occur as a result of this procedure.
Photography & Social media
We love showcasing our gorgeous furry clients. Unless otherwise requested, Pezzy paws may take before/ after photos of your dog for use on our website and social media channels.

Payments & Pricing
Remaining cost of the groom is due in full at the time of collection, we accept card and cash.
We ask that you choose correct slot when booking to ensure accurate pricing. It is important to select correct size category. We do our best to maintain the prices given. All prices are subject to change and will vary based on the dog’s breed, size, coat condition, and behaviour. Any extra charges will be discussed with you beforehand.
Liability Disclaimer
While every care is taken with your dog, Pezzy Paws cannot be held liable for injury, loss , or death dye to pre-existing conditions, unforeseen reactions or behavioural issues.
By using our services you agree to release Pezzy Paws and its team from all liability, unless proven negligent.

Pregnant dog policy
We don't accept pregnant dogs for the welfare of both mum and pups. The grooming environment can be stressful and could be a danger to their health.
Data Protection Policy
At Pezzy Paws, we are committed to protecting your privacy to comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation.) We collect personal data to provide our grooming services safely. We collect personal data such as your name, address, contact details and information about your dogs breed, medical history and overall wellbeing.
